Rahul Dravid gets to the milestone...

Nice coverage of the occasion in the Times...not Times of India...the one and only 'NYTimes'... I am inclined to believe that this record is destined to stay for a while if Dravid can continue for another couple years ending with a tally of well over 200 catches. Mark Waugh tipped Ricky Ponting(Aus) to top the list eventually. From my perspective if I have to pick somebody, it would probably be Mahela Jayawardane (SL) or GC Smith (SA).

Dravid Keeps Focus to Beat Undervalued Test Record

It is typical of Rahul Dravid that when he set a world record for test cricket, it was one of the least publicized.

Dravid, a 36-year-old Indian, is one of the great players of the era, possessor of perhaps the purest technique of any contemporary batsman. He is also a supreme team man who invariably tailors his performances to India’s need and has been overshadowed for much of his career by more flamboyant players.
